PQM+ is helping the National Directorate of Pharmacy and Medicines (Direction Nationale de la Pharmacie et du Médicament, DNPM) to build Guinea’s quality assurance and control systems and strengthen its health system through improving regulatory functions. This includes improving registration processes, pharmacovigilance systems and post-marketing surveillance, and focusing on areas and products that have a high risk for public health impact. The program is also preparing the National Medicines Quality Control Laboratory (Laboratoire National de Contrôle de Qualité des Médicaments, LNCQM) for ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation and strengthening its quality testing capacity to inform regulatory actions on substandard and falsified medicines.
