With support from the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), PQM+ is working with Malawi’s Pharmacy and Medicines Regulatory Authority (PMRA) to strengthen the governance of medical product quality assurance systems and improve access to quality-assured essential medical products in the country.
In particular, PQM+ partnered with the PMRA’s Board of Directors to support the regulatory authority to revise and update its strategic plan (2018–2023). The revised strategic plan better aligns with current developments in the pharmaceutical sector in Malawi, regionally and globally, thereby ensuring more sustainable access to quality-assured, safe, and effective medical products.
